You Will Still Have To Learn

251The Book of Zohar: However, although these seven holy Havalim are the sustenance of the world, opposite them are seven Havalim from which all the Dinim [judgments] in the world come out and spread to punish people and to correct them so they will walk on the right path.

To punish people means that a person sees disappointment, failures, illnesses, and everything else, and this corrects him, with a stick to happiness, as they say.

Of course, this is not the best way out of all our foolish states. But if we do not want to learn to be good children, then we are punished so that we still go forward. What can be done? We will still have to learn. We have no other choice.

Comment: The fact is that I really want to learn, but I want to learn correctly.

My Response: That is right. Even in the field of dissemination of the Kabbalah itself, there are a lot of problems, it still needs to be adapted to the world, to people, to be translated into many languages, to bring it closer to women, children, and the elderly, to present it correctly, depending on the mood of the person, on his specialty, on his qualities.

That is, to adapt it as much as possible to everyone so that everyone sees: “Oh! This book talks about me! It talks about how I can change myself a little bit and everything will be fine right away.”

The Attainment Called A Cave

276.02Zohar for All, Chayei Sarah, item 105: When Abraham entered the cave for the first time, he saw a light there, the dust was thrown before him, and two graves were revealed to him. Then a man of his form stood up from his grave, and saw Abraham and laughed. With that, Abraham knew that he was destined to be buried there.

Question: What is the book talking about here? What does it mean “Two graves were revealed to him”? Why was there a need to describe all this in such a way?

Answer: How else can it be described? A person sees that by working on himself and acquiring properties of equivalence of form with the Creator he will be able to reach a state where he will transform himself into the property of bestowal and love and his current egoism will become opposite to its present state.

Then he, with all his corrected properties—since nothing uncorrected will remain in him—will fully exist in the upper world. This is what he discovers in the cave.

The Book of Zohar speaks of this allegorically. It speaks about the attainment called a cave.

Question: Does it mean that he saw Adam, from the word “Domeh”(similar), and was happy that he would become like him, similar to the Creator?

Answer: That is right. He attained his root and saw that it is in the common root of all existing ones because Adam is our common spiritual ancestor.

The Value Of The Book Of Zohar

531.01There is no other book besides The Book of Zohar that performs spiritual work on us. It takes us from the corporeal level to the spiritual level; it shows us its projection as if the upper world is getting revealed through our world illuminated by a powerful projector.

The Book of Zohar illustrates the difference between our world and the upper world. On one hand, as in the Torah, it gives us a picture of our world, and in parallel, describes the next, spiritual level, the world of forces, the world of qualities.

By shining through and superimposing the picture of our world on the spiritual world, you understand their correlation and what is really happening. In this way, you develop new qualities in yourself. It is when the root and its branch, that is, the spiritual world and our world, overlap each other and become one.

You enter both worlds simultaneously with your feelings, your attainments, with your entire life, and you break away from earthly limitations, even to the point that when your body dies, you continue to exist because your animalistic body no longer has anything to do with spirituality.

This is what a person should achieve. The most important point that Kabbalah gives us is to exit the animalistic degree, rise above the point of death, and reach the spiritual degree, which is infinite and everlasting, while in this life.

“Let The Earth Produce Living Creatures According To Their Kind”

962.2Comment: It is said in The Book of Zohar that the commandment “You shall not commit adultery” corresponds to the act of creation: “Let the earth produce living creatures according to their kind, so that a woman does not produce offspring unless it is a continuation of the family. And who is her family? It is her husband.”

Answer: Both The Book of Zohar and all of Kabbalah have nothing to do with our world and do not affect any actions in it. Everything we do on the material (animate) level has nothing to do with spirituality. This is repeatedly stated in Kabbalah.

It explains what we should do inside our souls, which means within our soul to “cheat on your spouse with someone or not.”

A person must constantly care to see and feel the world through the right desire called his wife. And only through the point of contact between the screen and Malchut, through the common male and female desires that are in the soul, should one relate to the Creator.

Only through a corrected desire! This is called his “spouse,” his “wife,” “betrothed,” “bride,” etc…

An uncorrected desire is called a “stranger,” not one you can connect with or advance toward the Creator. Only this is meant because we always talk about a single common soul and not about the fact that you are cheating on someone somewhere.

In addition, throughout history, in various epochs, one man could have had up to a thousand wives. Therefore, what is written in The Book of Zohar is completely irrelevant to our lives.

When it is said: “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife,” it means that the male part of my soul should take only that corrected female part of my soul that it can connect with in order to make common acts of bestowal. Thus, the next level will appear, the so-called “children,” the next generation.

Question: So the right desire is the wife?

Answer: Yes. A wife for a person in our world is really something that accompanies his spiritual growth. And if not, then even if she is his legal wife, the truth is that this union is not acknowledged in the universe.

Question: Why did it happen that she still became his wife?

Answer: To answer this, you need to analyze the origins and roots of the souls and their reincarnations.

Question: That is, such states are still necessary in order to find the right desires, that is, the right wife?

Answer: Yes.

Question: What kind of animals are these: “Let the earth produce living creatures according to their kind?”

Answer: When you begin to properly connect with your inner, corrected desire called “your wife,” you give birth to the next degree—children.

A Long Way To Encounter With Kabbalah

527.06Question: It is known that when seventy translators were translating the Torah into Greek, there was a lot of confusion. Was it done on purpose?

Answer: Yes, this was done purposefully so that humanity would really get confused to the point that it will raise its hands and say: “That is it, we do not understand anything, we do not know anything, we do not know how to do anything. We have no future, we are disappointed in our own abilities, and we agree to listen.”

This went on for thousands of years. After all, the giving of the Torah took place 3,500 years ago. We are only approaching the state today where disappointment begins to manifest itself in humanity.

It slowly realizes that it is at a dead-end, that it cannot do anything, that it cannot raise itself. This state is the best because now we are finally beginning to listen to the source that is now being revealed in the world, to Kabbalah. It was hidden on purpose. And now, when it is opening up, we are ready to listen to what it says.

This is where contact between man and the method of spiritual elevation begins. All the preliminary stages, all the millennia that we have passed from generation to generation, were simply necessary.

We had to develop in this way in order to go through all these states in our desire to do something by ourselves, to recreate the world, to remake ourselves, to make all kinds of social, technical, and technological revolutions, and to be ready to accept what Kabbalah is saying.

What Determines The Existence Of The World?

283.02Zohar for All, VaYetze, item 14: Although these seven holy Havalim are the sustenance of the world, opposite them are seven Havalim from which all the Dinim [judgments] in the world come out.

There are seven original desires in each of us. They do not change.

If we use them for our own sake, they turn into the judgments directed at us. If we use them for the sake of bestowal, for connection with others, then they turn into blessings.

By connecting with each other in this way through our desires, we form a common body that begins to exchange energy, information, and vitality within itself and comes to life. To the extent of our connection, from inanimate stones we turn into vegetative, animate, and even human matter.

Therefore, the seven pillars (desires) can be negative, as today in our world we are driving ourselves into the ground by using them only for our own sake, thereby killing everything around us: both ourselves and the surrounding nature. Yet, we can turn this into a blessing.

Everything depends not on how we use what is around us, but on how we use ourselves. Our attitude to each other and to the surrounding nature determines everything. Therefore, it is written “Hevel Havalim (Vanity of vanities) are the sustenance of the world.” “Vanity of vanities” is my attitude to others. If I direct it incorrectly, it actually turns into evil and judgment.

Understand The Whole Plan Of The Creator

237Question: Why was it necessary to shatter the common soul?

Answer: In order to understand what the Creator means.

Let us say you take a beautiful statue or something magnificent, an amazing work of nature, and break it into small pieces. You break the perfection, which is like the Creator. This is how Adam was created.

The Creator Himself takes and breaks His beloved, His only work, into billions of pieces. Why? How? If someone saw it from the side…! We do not understand why He created the world so evil, so dreadful. He created man so terrible, so low. The great, perfect, eternal Creator created something completely opposite to Himself, and yet enjoys that we are suffering here?!

How can this be? I would not wish this state we exist which in on any enemy: this flawed, petty, humiliated, state constantly in pursuit of somehow trying to fulfill ourselves. This is a terrible condition! If we are talking about the eternal and perfect Creator, the power that can do anything, He suddenly created such a thing?!

This is because we see ourselves in this broken state and do not understand that it is best. If we begin to gradually assemble ourselves from it, we will collect ourselves into the similarity of the Creator. Moreover, from this work, we will understand who the Creator is.

We will begin to understand the whole plan of the Creator: why He decided to reduce Himself to the level most opposite from the initial perfection and give us the opportunity to gradually create this perfection from ourselves?

People who want to rise to the level of the Creator wonder about the meaning of life, about the meaning of suffering: “What are they for? What is the meaning of our life? What is it about and what is its purpose?”

When these urgent questions arise in them and life is no longer smiling at them, they must find an answer to it. They feel that everything else has no flavor and all that is left to do is to plunge into drugs, alcohol, or whatever just to forget about this monotony. So, such people are shown from above that there is a method of achieving perfection, which is called the science of Kabbalah.

This method has been hidden for many thousands of years. The Book of Zohar, written two thousand years ago, says that it will be revealed in two thousand years, when we mature to realize that our world and our existence are flawed, we can do nothing with ourselves, and we face total despair.

That is when this Book will find a person and say: “Are you sure you are throwing up your hands in frustration? Then I Will show you the way.”

Why Was A Small Part Of The Book Of Zohar Revealed?

65Comment: Initially, The Book of Zohar was a commentary on the entire Torah, the entire Tanakh, and included everything.

My Response: Indeed, The Zohar commentary was written on the Torah, Prophets, and Holy Scriptures—on all three books, which are abbreviated as Tanakh. But only ten percent of this book has come down to us.

Why is the commentary only on the Torah preserved? I have not found an answer to this question anywhere. I think that for our generation, perhaps, more is not necessary.

Yet why did the authors of The Book of Zohar work so hard if after writing it, it was immediately hidden and only now a small part of it was revealed?

I think that because they wrote this book together, they were correcting the connection between the souls. After all, The Zohar is a whole system of connecting souls, like a program in a computer. When you write it you turn on this machine and the computer starts working in a completely different way according to its program.

According to this program, the authors of The Book Zohar launched a common connection of souls. Today, we only need ten percent of it to include ourselves in this program, in this right community.

On the other hand, I do not rule out the possibility that the remaining ninety percent will suddenly also be revealed, and we will find them somewhere, like the Qumran finds.

Recording Of The Spiritual Program

526The Book of Zohar, VaYetse, Item 13: King Solomon established his book on seven Havalim [Hevel means “breath vapor,” as well as “vanity,” “futility”] on which the world stands. These are the pillars and ledges that form the existence of the world, and this is why they are called Havalim.

The seven Sefirot, the seven parts, the seven desires, of the soul, by turning from egoistic into altruistic, become the pillars on which the spiritual world stands.

As the body cannot exist without Hevel, the world exists only on Havalim [plural of Hevel]. There are seven of them, as it is written, “Hevel Havalim [vanity of vanities] says Kohelet; Hevel Havalim, all is Hevel [vanity],” thus seven Havalim.

Comment: But the word Hevel is repeated only five and not seven times.

My Response: No. The fact is that the word “Havalim” is plural. Each of them is two. This is what The Book of Zohar says. It is written Hevel Havalim (vanity of vanities). “Havalim” means two.

Question: It is like a mathematical riddle. Why is everything concealed so much?

Answer: No, it is not concealed; it is just that there are double parts that need to be treated this way. After all, everything that is originally written in The Book of Zohar or in the Torah is a purely mechanical and very accurate record of all our consecutive states of cause and consequence, a step-by-step movement that we must go through one after another. This is usually how a program is written.

I remember when I started studying cybernetics, the first time I was very surprised at how programs were written. You record one movement after another as it should happen in a computer.

Thus, this is a record of the work of our soul, that is, our inner computing center, which understands only one thing: pleasure or suffering, plus or minus, and the difference between them relative to its complete saturation, the perfect state that is set ahead.

The Torah, from the word “Hora’ah” (instruction) is a program according to which we work at each degree, line by line, letter by letter. Therefore, you cannot change the letters and words in it. This is a consistent text because it tells us how we go from our world through all 125 degrees to our full, final, perfect state.

Therefore, when you start reading it, the words, their meaning, their singular or plural form, their masculine or feminine form, the letter combinations, and so on become important for you.

After all, all this has a meaning in the program. There are all sorts of elements in the letter. The order of the letters indicates the transition that you must make from your current state. Each letter is a symbol, a block, a matrix of your particular state.

Let’s say that one moment I can explain my condition with one letter and the next moment with another. If I make a word out of these letters, it tells me what kind of final inner changes I accomplish through a certain number of changes. And then I move on to the next one, and so on.

“May The Waters Be Filled With Living Creatures”

420.06It is written in the act of creation: Let the waters be filled with swarming living creatures. That is, you can not kill a person who is called a being, a living being. (The Book of Zohar)

Water is the light of Hassadim. Everything came from water. Even from the ground nothing can grow without water.

Thus, the commandment “Thou shalt not kill” corresponds to the act of creation “Let the waters be filled with swarming living creatures,” i.e., the appearance of all living beings, no longer on the vegetative level but with more developed, animate qualities.

In this regard, Darwin was right in looking at the whole picture. The only thing he was wrong about was the law of natural development, that nature itself finds ways to develop. This is something that is pre-programmed and is gradually realized according to the informational data that comes from the very beginning, from the first act of creation.

Darwin did not understand this. Therefore, we are in this uncertainty. On one hand, it seems that he is right that there is a development, and on the other hand, we do not see how one thing develops from the other, where the intermediate stages are, and so on. Here people disagree and cannot find answers.

Kabbalah answers this very simply. More than two thousand years ago in the Book of Creation (Sefer Yetzirah), Abraham already wrote about these creations that everything comes from the informational data. There is nothing new. What we see before us is nothing other than the informational data in newer and newer manifestations of creation.

These creations appear as if they never existed before. However, they did exist, but only in the form of forces or information, and now they are manifested before us. So, this is nothing unusual—Darwin was right.
